A lone dog sits quietly on an empty street in Leh, surrounded by silence, cold light, and distance. The stillness of the frame carries the feeling of high-altitude mornings, where even time seems to move slower.
This cyanotype was created by hand using traditional photographic chemicals, sunlight exposure, water, and a physical negative. The rough edges, deep blue tones, and uneven textures are all part of the handmade process, giving the print its own character and presence.
Printed on thick 300 GSM watercolour paper, this piece exists as a single original artwork. No reproductions, no duplicates. Just one moment, preserved through light and chemistry.
Part of an ongoing body of work created over six summers of experimenting with cyanotype printing and photography.
