Dark Forest in Darjeeling
Faint light slips through the trees inside a dark forest in Darjeeling, where mist, shadow, and silence seem to merge into one. The image feels distant and almost unreal, like a memory slowly dissolving into the woods.
This hand-made cyanotype print was created using traditional photographic chemicals, sunlight exposure, water, and a physical negative. The grain, soft light leaks, and deep indigo tones are all shaped naturally through the analogue process, making each print impossible to reproduce exactly again.
Printed carefully by hand on 300 GSM watercolour paper, this artwork exists as a single original piece. The textures, imperfections, and tonal variations are part of the work itself, created through the unpredictable interaction between light, chemistry, and time.
