Lightning tears across the sky as dark clouds gather above swaying trees, capturing the restless energy of a Kal Boishaki storm. The image holds the tension of summer evenings in Bengal, when heat, wind, and electricity collide just before rain arrives.
This hand-made cyanotype print was created using traditional photographic chemicals, sunlight exposure, water, and a physical negative. The intense blue tones, glowing lightning, and raw brush textures are all shaped naturally through the analogue process, making every detail unique to this single print.
Printed slowly by hand on 300 GSM watercolour paper, the artwork carries the unpredictability of weather and light within its surface. No digital reproduction can recreate the same textures, marks, or atmosphere.
