Lonely Road in Goa
An empty road disappears into mist and shadow, surrounded by dense trees and fading light. There is a quiet loneliness in the frame, the feeling of travelling without destination, somewhere between memory and nightfall.
This hand-made cyanotype print was created using traditional photographic chemicals, sunlight exposure, water, and a physical negative. The rich blue tones, soft gradients, and raw brush edges are all part of the handmade process, making the artwork impossible to replicate exactly again.
Printed slowly by hand on 300 GSM watercolour paper, this piece carries the imperfections and textures that only analogue processes can create. Every cyanotype reacts differently to sunlight, water, and time, giving each print its own presence.
Created as part of a six-year exploration of handmade photographic printing and solitary landscapes.
