An old man sits quietly by the river in Varanasi, his back turned toward the world as light falls across his weathered skin. The image carries a feeling of age, silence, and surrender, like a moment suspended between exhaustion and peace.
This hand-made cyanotype print was created using traditional photographic chemicals, sunlight exposure, water, and a physical negative. The soft highlights, deep blue shadows, and raw handmade textures are all natural results of the analogue process, making every print completely unique.
Printed slowly by hand on 300 GSM watercolour paper, this artwork exists as a single original piece. The imperfections, brush marks, and tonal variations are part of the work itself, shaped by light, water, and time.
