A quiet portrait of a sadhu in Varanasi, emerging slowly from shadow and light. The softness of the image gives it an almost timeless feeling, as if the figure exists somewhere between memory, faith, and disappearance.
This hand-made cyanotype print was created using traditional photographic chemicals, sunlight exposure, water, and a physical negative. The deep indigo tones, blurred textures, and handmade brush marks are all part of the analogue process, giving the portrait a raw and human presence.
Printed carefully by hand on 300 GSM watercolour paper, this artwork exists as a single original piece. Every cyanotype reacts differently to sunlight and chemistry, making no two prints ever truly alike.
